Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Privanode ("we," "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our service. We are committed to collecting as little personal information as possible while still operating the service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect the email address you provide. We do not require your real name, government ID, or phone number.

Payment information. When you purchase credits, our payment processors (Stripe for card payments, Plisio for cryptocurrency payments) collect and process your payment details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number or crypto wallet private keys. We do retain a record of the transaction itself (amount, date, payment method used, and status) for accounting and support purposes.

Usage metadata. To operate our credit system, we record which AI model you used, the number of tokens processed, and the resulting credit deduction for each request.

Technical information. We may log IP addresses and basic request metadata temporarily for security, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation.

2. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your conversation content to train AI models.
• We do not require identity verification (KYC) to create an account or chat.

3. Third Parties Involved in Providing the Service

Because Privanode routes your requests to third-party AI infrastructure and payment processors, the following third parties are involved and operate under their own privacy policies:

• AI model routing/inference providers (accessed via OpenRouter and the underlying model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and others). These providers may retain request data for a limited period (commonly up to 30 days) for abuse-monitoring and safety purposes under their own policies, independent of Privanode's own zero-retention practice. We do not control this retention period and recommend reviewing OpenRouter's and the relevant model provider's own privacy terms if this matters to you.
• Stripe (card payment processing) — see Stripe's privacy policy.
• Plisio (cryptocurrency payment processing) — see Plisio's privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider, where our servers are physically located.

4. Data Retention

• Account and transaction records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
• Usage metadata (token counts, model used) is retained to maintain an accurate credit balance and transaction history.
• We do not retain conversation content after your session, as described above.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make such a request, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity as the account holder before acting on the request.

6. Children's Privacy

Privanode is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18.

7. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure and the third parties we rely on may process data in countries other than your own, including outside Canada. By using Privanode, you consent to this transfer and processing.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
